Ladies and gentlemen, Bravado has pioneered a whole new genre of metal for your
listening pleasure. It's a smooth blend of thrash, power, punk and alcohol, aptly named Beer
Metal. Beer metal is as easily enjoyed by the discriminating fan of technical guitar as by some
guy drunk off his ass in the middle of a mosh pit. Bravado hails from Calgary Alberta and is
looking to do some serious giggin’ in, or around this area, so please feel free to contact us
and enjoy the frothy goodness that is Bravado.
Bravado was conceived in 2004 when four high school kids in Brooks, Alberta - Bob
Bellward, Adam Brunelle, Rance Williams and Jordan Levesque, all with a passion for Heavy Metal
- decided to pick up instruments and start jamming together. It was very informal for the first
year or so, just playing covers, but in their senior year of high school they started taking it
more seriously and began to write original tunes. Upon their graduation in 2005 the band
relocated to Calgary where they began to play the occasional show and, in a local battle of the
bands held at the Max Bell Center, took second place. They have amassed an excellent local
following, having played all the local venues they could, and have shared the stage with west
coast canadian bands such as Lummox, Ninja Spy and Helcion. They have started to branch out and
play out of town, travelling to Vancouver, Kamloops, Edmonton, etc. and plan on continuing to
expand in the near future. Bravado’s line up has evolved from the original. With the addition
of Neil Melrose on bass, and Kevin Zinger on drums, they continue to write new music and are
back in the studio to record. Keep your eyes and ears open for their first full length album
coming soon!
