On October 11 of 2008, Western Canadian
progressive metal veterans CAVEAT played their final live performance at in their
home town of Calgary, Alberta after almost of decade of making music. With the
demise of CAVEAT came the inception of Alberta's newest progressive metal force
known as PHANTOM LIMB. The band features Greg Musgrave(EXIT STRATEGY, EX-CAVEAT,
EX-BLACKSKY) on guitar & vocals; Terry Baldwin(EX-CAVEAT, EX-VERBAL DECEPTION)
on bass & backing vocals; & former KILYAKAI & TEMPERED drummer Adam
Proulx to round out the 3 piece.
PHANTOM LIMB have embarked on a musical journey to step outside the realms of
traditional heavy music & songwriting to create something unique that forces
the mind to think outside the expected & indulge in the unusual. Currently the
band is completing the pre-production & final arranging of the material for
their 1st album which is targeted for release in the spring of
2010.
